94 Saab 900 Coolant sensor

     I have a 94 Saab 900 2.0l turbo, 5-speed. My coolant temperature gage works intermittently. My car shows no signs of overheating. I cannot find the sending unit for the temperature gage on the engine or on the rad. The only sensor I see is the fan switch located near the thermostat housing. Any idea where the sending unit is located?

      The switch you speak of is next to the thermostat housing. It is both the fan and temp gauge sensor.
