Saab 900 classic Tail light problem

       When I'm going in reverse, my reverse lights don't come on when my foot is on the brake. My husband has replaced all of the bulbs, what could it be? Thanks for any help you can provide.

      I am assuming you have a 900 4 door or 900 convertible since the problem you have is so common in these cars. You have a problem with the ground circuit to the tail lights. Pull the connectors to the tail light circuit boards and I think you will find some burnt or melted connections. You may need to replace the boards and make sure the ground connectors are good.
