Club Deluxe Sporting an art-deco facade and an interior punctuated with neon signs and cover-girl pinups, the stylish Deluxe is get away in the Haight-Ashbury district. Separated from the bar, a small lounge area typically hosts an array of live music--from jazz and swing to Bossa Nova.
The pizzetta's at Club Deluxe are made with Organic flour and wild San Francisco yeast. That create a wonderful San Francisco sourdough.
The bar also features fresh fruit cocktails and Mojitos made with fresh mint to order. Club Deluxe is also known to have the best bloody mary in town (voted best in SF weekly).
Before the 1940s trend hit the city in the late 90's, Club Deluxe and its fedora-wearing clientele had been celebrating the bygone era for years. Fortunately, even with all the retro hype, the vibe here hasn't changed. Expect an eclectic mix of throwbacks and generic San Franciscans in the intimate bar and adjoining lounge, and live jazz or swing most nights. Although many regulars dress the part, there's no attitude here, so come as you like.
